The guidelines are compiled for the purpose of assisting potential sites of World Masters Athletics Championships (Stadia, Indoor) with their bids and organizational planning. The guidelines are meant to be a companion publication to the official WMA Handbook.

The WMA Handbook will be updated (Version 2007-2009 2nd Edition) on the WMA web site and re-published in January 2009. (The WMA Handbook may be found on-line at www.world-masters-athletics.org, under “Laws & Rules”)
