The die is cast: WMA Best Master 2008

foto_frontThe WMA Council voted for Christine Müller, W 50 (SUI) and Wolfgang Ritte M 55 (GER) as Best Masters of the Year.

Christine Müller (LC Zürich), hurdle and combined event, beat the hurdle world record of Phil Raschker (USA), the Best Master of 2007. In Ljubljana she improved two world hurdles records.

Wolfgang Ritte (Weseler TV), pole vault, improved in 2008 the 12 years old world record (stadia) of Hans Lagerquist (SWE) with 34 cm and set a new mark with 4,60 m in the pole vault, after he had jumped in Clermont-Ferrand a new indoor record, 4,31.

Müller and Ritte will be invited by the IAAF and WMA to Novembers IAF Gala in Monaco.
